As part of the government’s expansion initiative under the Free Senior High School (SHS) policy, at least 60 private schools across the country have been added to the programme.
The expansion, which builds on the flagship initiative introduced by former President Akufo-Addo’s government, is aimed at easing congestion in public SHSs and creating equitable access to quality education in both public and private institutions.
This development now allows guardians and parents to verify the approved list of private SHSs through the Ministry of Education, the Ghana Education Service (GES), or the GNACOPS platforms.
