Accra, July 19, 2025 – Ghana’s Chief of Staff, Hon. Julius Debrah, once again demonstrated his visionary commitment to national wellness by leading the latest edition of “A Walk with Julius”—a flagship initiative promoting healthy lifestyles and preventive healthcare across the country.
The walk, held at Trassaco Phase 2, brought together an impressive array of personalities from sports, politics, and the media, making the event both symbolic and action-driven.
Among the notable participants were:• Mr. Samson Deen, President of the Ghana Paralympic Committee• Dan Kwaku Yeboah, renowned sports broadcaster• King Eben, top sports presenter from Kumasi• Charles Kwabla Akonnor, former Black Stars Coach
A Team from Joy Sports, led by Nathaniel Attoh, Fentuo Tahiru, and Dr. Frank Owusu Ansah of Kessben TV/FM.
The walk attracted high-level figures who joined in solidarity to emphasize the role of physical fitness in national development. Participants covered several kilometers in a spirited atmosphere filled with interaction, reflection, and advocacy.
“A healthy population is a productive nation. Walking is one of the simplest yet most powerful acts we can adopt to protect our health and preserve our future,” said Hon. Julius Debrah, who personally led the walk with energy and enthusiasm.
“A Walk with Julius” is now taking shape as a nationwide movement, with a vision to encourage every Ghanaian—young or old—to dedicate time each week to active living.
“If we each walk 15 kilometers a week, we’ll not only feel better—we’ll save the nation millions in healthcare costs,” the Chief of Staff added.
He called on public leaders, civil servants, entrepreneurs, and the youth to embrace walking as a shared national discipline—one that contributes to mental clarity, physical strength, and long-term well-being.
The event underscored a crucial message: health is national wealth, and Ghanaians must move intentionally toward fitness to build a more vibrant, resilient nation.
